Department Overview
Sixth grade World History focuses on the world's earliest civilizations to the ancient and classical civilizations of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Seventh grade Civics is designed to discuss and engage students about the principles, functions, and organization of government; the origins of the American political system; the roles, rights, responsibilities of United States citizens; and methods of active participation in our political system.
Eighth grade American History is centered on the development of the United States within the context of history by examining connections to the past to prepare for the future as participating members of a democratic society. Students will use knowledge pertaining to history, geography, economics, political processes, religion, ethics, diverse cultures, and humanities to solve problems in the “real world
All students will be exposed to the multiple dynamics of world history including economics, geography, politics, and religion/philosophy. Students will study methods of historical inquiry and primary and secondary historical documents.
