Principal’s Message
Swift Creek Middle School is located in the heart of the Buck Lake Community and is recognized by the state of Florida as an “A” school and a “School of Excellence.” Our goal is to provide opportunities and experiences that help prepare students for high school and beyond. Swift Creek’s teachers and staff provide a supportive environment where students can excel in academics, fine and performing arts, athletics, and a variety of clubs and organizations. Our Bridge program, which is unique to Leon County, provides accelerated coursework through experiential learning designed to develop even the most advanced academic students. Swift Creek also offers a wide range of electives and extra curricular programs to meet the needs of all students. Please explore our website and contact us with any questions you may have. The mission of Swift Creek Middle School is to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-awareness, creativity, motivation, and a love for learning. The Swift Creek Middle School team joins our parents and community in helping students develop life-long skills to become productive members of society who will succeed and contribute positively to our global community.

Our school day begins at 9:30 am and ends at 3:50 pm, with before and after-school programs available for families needing extended care.
We offer a wide range of programs to support diverse student needs. For more information regarding programs such as Bridge, Gifted, ESE, and ELL, please contact the school at 850-414-2670.
Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points with a visitor management system, conduct regular emergency drills, a full-time Leon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy, and have on-site staff trained in emergency response.
We welcome family and community involvement! You can volunteer in classrooms, join PTSO, participate in family nights, or attend school events. Please visit Leon County Schools’ volunteer page for more information.
Technology is integrated to enhance learning, with resources such as student-assigned Chromebooks, interactive whiteboards, tablets, and educational software that support students' digital literacy and engagement.

Tickets for middle school football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and track are available online through GoFan. Cash will not be accepted at the venue.
Swift Creek Middle School is pleased to offer e-Funds for Schools. This program offers various options for online payment of student fees. Please reference the detailed letter for parents/guardians regarding this program, including a step-by-step guide for parents.
Aktivate houses all activity permission forms for Swift Creek students, as well as all athletic forms. Any student who wishes to participate in school activities and field trips should complete basic information in Aktivate. There is a guide for completing Aktivate, as well as a link to the website above.

Students can generate a pairing code to link an observer to their Canvas account. An observer may be a parent, guardian, mentor, counselor, or another individual who needs to view Canvas courses. Follow our step-by-step instructions to connect an observer to Canvas.
